Welcome

TO ALL MEMBERS & FRIENDS OF THE AJRTC:
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 1ST 2009 THE CLUB'S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WAS HELD. IT WAS DECIDED THAT AFTER MANY YEARS OF CLUB FUN AND ENJOYMENT THAT THE AJRTC WILL BE CLOSING IT'S DOORS.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT JRT FUN IN ALBERTA HAS COME TO AN END, THE FUTURE OF THE JRT IS GOING TO HAVE A FRESH START.
I AM SORRY TO SEE THE END OF WHAT HAD BEEN STARTED BY MANY SERIOUS JACK RUSSELL ENTHUSIASTS.
THE TIME HAS COME TO START FRESH.
SINCERELY;
MARIANNE JORGENSEN

TO ALL RESCUERS & FRIENDS OF THE AJRTC:
IT IS SAD TO SEE THE AJRTC  CLOSE IT'S DOORS AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF JRT FUN AND ALSO MANY YEARS OF RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL RESCUE PROGRAM.
UNFORTUNEATELY THERE IS A NEED FOR BREED RESCUE. WE PLACED 17 DOGS THIS YEAR OVER AND ABOVE THE 14 LAST YEAR.
RUSSELL RESCUE WILL CONTINUE ON, THE NEW RESCUE WILL BE CALLED...
ALBERTA RUSSELL RESCUE ORGANIZATION OR A.R.R.O. FOR SHORT. WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE A NEW WEBSITE UP AND RUNNING IN THE NEXT 2-3 WEEKS WHICH WILL BE www.arrorescue.com
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE, KEEP YOUR NOSES TO THE GROUND & TAILS IN THE AIR!
SINCERELY;
CRISTINE CAMP

The Alberta Jack Russell Terrier Club was formed in the fall of 1995 by a group of interested owners and is dedicated to the preservation of the unique qualities and heritage of the type of working terrier that has been known for over 100 years as the  Jack Russell Terrier. The Club is determined not to subject the Jack Russell Terrier, to the whims and fancies that come with Kennel Club registration.

The aims of the Club include the ongoing development of the JRTCC Breed Registry for the serious owners and breeders. It is designed to assist members in the breeding of the best possible conformation and emphasizing the relationship between correct conformation as per the Breed Standard and earth working ability.

To keep members in touch with one another and abreast of current Jack Russell Terrier events, The Terrier Tribune, is published quarterly. It contains upcoming events, educational articles, Club notes, stories, and advertisements in each issue.

Above all, the AJRTC wishes to continue developing a strong and loyal membership base. With this in mind, we welcome all Jack Russell Terrier admirers and owners whose interest cover any or all of the various aspects of the versatile Jack Russell Terrier, whether it's showing, hunting or breeding and - perhaps most importantly as loyal companion and best friend.
